FlackCheck.org’s weekly update Nov. 16, 2012

Dear Subscriber,

Thank you for following the 2012 campaign with us and thank you to our funders, The  Democracy  Fund of the Omidyar Network and The Annenberg Foundation. And a very special thanks to those of you who emailed your local stations urging them to insist on the accuracy of the third party ads they chose to air and encouraging them to regularly fact check deceptive content airing in their market on air and on line.

In the coming months, we will shift to a monthly newsletter schedule with plans to return to weekly updates in the run-up to the 2014 election. In the interim, we will continue to release research findings, track WOW (Way Out of Whack) Attacks and tie video content to FactCheck.org’s findings. New sections of the website will feature  a ” Speak Out” feature for high school students and learning materials created to teach both patterns of deception  and our McClellan campaign in classes. Your help in spreading the word to high school and college teachers would be welcome.
